here is my story
My name is Debra and I have struggled with my weight all of my adult life. My struggles started when I went off to college and gained that Freshman 15. Over the years I have lost and gained weight multiple times. I have been on many programs: I have counted calories, points, and carbs, gone yeast free, even followed Dr. Phil's diet. I was successful to some degree on each of these plans but each time I met my goal, I gained the weight back. I became tired of dieting and eventually gained even more weight. I finally grew tired of being overweight, wearing the same clothes, and just feeling miserable. In the fall of 2011, I started looking into programs that offered quicker weight loss. This time, I wanted to get the weight off and keep it off. I knew it would mean changing my thinking! I soon found my answer in Take Shape For Life and set on my journey with the help of my free health coach! Take Shape For Life is much more than a diet - it offers so much support and tools that increase our likelihood of keeping the weight off! I started this journey one week before Thanksgiving. I jumped in, not really knowing what I was doing, but determined to stick to the program -- and I did -- even through all of the holidays! My coach called soon after my food arrived and she helped me so much. I reached my goal in a little over 6 months, losing 42 pounds in that time. This time I am keeping the weight off! I was asked to become a health coach so that I could help and encourage others with what I have learned. Reading Dr. A's Habits of Health and using his materials and the support from Take Shape For Life, helped me to change my thinking and learn Healthy Habits! I would love to help you too.
